Brenda was born and raised in Sri Lanka. She graduated from London South Bank University with a Bachelor of Laws, and in 2018 she migrated to New Zealand in order to pursue her Post-Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Waikato. She has worked as a paralegal in immigration law matters during her stay in the UK, and as an assistant case manager in personal injury claims and litigation at WNS Global Services Sri Lanka.

She joined Powle & Hodson in the middle of 2022 and aspires to climb the ladder in the legal sector. She demonstrates willingness to grow and learn and has developed an interest in conveyancing.

In her spare time, Brenda likes to spend time with family, watch Netflix series and documentaries, explore and travel around her new stomping ground, and by any means hunt for a Sri Lankan restaurant to enjoy spicy cuisine.
